Barry Dacombe (Independent Director)
Barry has over 40 years experience as an Architect.  He is currently a principal of Barry J Dacombe after a long involvement with renowned architecture firm Warren and Mahoney.  During his time with them, Barry led the focus toward environmentally sustainable design (ESD).  Barry has been an active participant in the architectural industry having served as a Canterbury Branch Chairman of the New Zealand Institute of Architects and the Institute of Architects Executive and Council.

Barry has extensive governance experience and is currently a director of a number of private companies including Cosgroves.

Barry's sporting interests include skiing and yachting.  He is a previous Canterbury and South Island provincial yachting champion and continues to be actively involved in the sport.  Married for over 40 years, he and his wife Sandy have 3 children and a granddaughter.
