Office Administrator

Hours:                          Full time, 30 – 40 hours per week (negotiable)

Cosgroves provides professional consulting engineering services to the construction industry, specialising in mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, civil and fire engineering.  We have offices in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown. 

Our Auckland office is looking for a well organised, fun loving and motivated team player with exceptional customer service skills.  The role is integral to the smooth operation of our local team and you will be working in a busy and diverse environment alongside a great team of people. As this is a sole charge position you would be responsible for a wide range of duties from the day to day running of the office through to processing accounts payable and receivable invoices, assisting with client functions, database administration and quality audits.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail focused, self-starter.  You will be the go-to person for the office and a key component is the ability to work autonomously, communicate well, prioritise your workload and effectively manage your time.  You will be part of the Cosgroves national administration team the role has components that support the wider team. Full support will be provided to you by the Practice Manager and the rest of the administration team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A high level of computer skills – especially using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience processing debtor and creditor invoices
  • Experience with using Xero or a similar accounting programme
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy interacting with other staff and organising events
  • A clean driving license
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and prioritise workload.
