At Cosgroves we provide professional consulting engineering services to the construction industry. We specialise in fire, mechanical, hydraulics, civil, electrical, and sustainable engineering, and have offices in Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.

Our recent success has created a unique opportunity for a part-time Executive Assistant / Administrator to join our Christchurch branch. With some of New Zealand’s largest projects underway we are looking for a pro-active team member who can support our practice manager and wider business.

The role is integral to the smooth operation of our local team. You would be responsible for a wide range of duties including but not limited to:

• Greeting guests to the office and answering the main phone line
• General facilities management
• HR administration / staff documentation management
• Basic accounts payable and receivable – support to the Financial team as required
• Data entry, digital filing, maintaining up-to-date internal documentation

Our ideal candidate will have most of the following:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• A high level of computer skills – especially using Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience processing debtor and creditor invoices
• Experience with using Xero or a similar accounting programme
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Enjoy interacting with other staff and organising events
• A clean driving license
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload.
